Residents are being invited to help shape the future of dementia care as part of the development of the Wolverhampton Integrated Dementia Strategy 2025–2029. The ambitious strategy aims to improve the lives of people living with dementia, their families, and carers by creating more joined up, compassionate, and effective services. Sandwell is set to have new boundaries for its council wards. The Local Government Boundary Commission is the independent body that draws these boundaries. It has reviewed Sandwell to make sure councillors will represent about the same number of electors, and that warding arrangements will help the council work effectively. The Commission has published final recommendations for changes in Sandwell. It says residents should be represented by 72 councillors. This is the same as the existing arrangements. Thousands of school children across Walsall were treated to an unforgettable week of live music in July as part of a borough-wide tour led by Walsall Music Education Service. The innovative service enables users of British Sign Language (BSL) to communicate directly with council staff through on demand video relay interpretation.
