McLaren Automotive are delighted to announce a collaboration with acclaimed British-Nigerian artist & designer, Yinka Ilori MBE, Art of Wishes and luxury hotel, The Peninsula London, which will see a McLaren Artura transformed into a one-of-a-kind masterpiece in support of Make-A-Wish.On 14 and 15 October, as part of Frieze London 2024, an annual contemporary arts fair, the courtyard of The Peninsula London, the prestigious hotel located in central London, will be transformed into a live art installation, where Ilori will work on an exclusive and original design, creating a unique automotive masterpiece.Following this artistic showcase, the car will be on display at The Peninsula London for two weeks before embarking on a three-month journey through the UK, where it will be shown at McLaren showrooms from Glasgow to the New Forest. The car’s handpainted bonnet will then be auctioned by Art of Wishes.Art of Wishes, a fundraising initiative founded by Batia Ofer in 2017 works to bring the art world together to raise funds for Make-a-Wish. Proceeds from this auction will enable Make-A-Wish to grant wishes to children with critical illnesses.McLaren Automotive invites art aficionados, car enthusiasts, press, guests and visitors to experience this unique fusion of innovation, luxury, and creativity, in what promises to be one of the highlights of the Frieze London calendar.
