People can have their say about local issues and learn about activities in their community at a series drop-in sessions taking place across Wolverhampton.
The Love Your Community sessions are held in each ward on a regular basis and give residents the chance to meet with representatives from West Midlands Police, the City of Wolverhampton Council, Wolverhampton’s Anti-Social Behaviour team and more, and to share information about issues and activities in their neighbourhoods.
The dates of the next few sessions have now been confirmed, and are as follows:
Tettenhall, at Wolverhampton Cricket Club, Danescourt Road, Tettenhall, tomorrow (Tuesday 14 July) from 5.30pm to 7.30pm
Oxley, at Pendeford Community Hub, Whitburn Close, on Wednesday (15 July) from 3pm to 4.30pm
Low Hill, Fallings Park and Bushbury, at Low Hill Community Centre, Kempthorne Avenue, next Monday (20 July) from 3pm to 5pm
St Peter’s and Park, Wolverhampton Arts Centre, Dunkley Street, Monday 27 July, 5.30pm to 7.30pm
Entry is free and all are welcome. For more details, visit Eventbrite or email safer@wolverhampton.gov.uk. Dates for further Love Your Community meetings covering other wards in Wolverhampton will be announced in due course.
Councillor Obaida Ahmed, Cabinet Member for Health, Wellbeing and Community, said: “These Love Your Community sessions are an important forum for residents to meet with organisations and discuss the priorities for their neighbourhoods – and how we can all work together to deliver on these.
“Please come along to find out what’s happening in your area, tell us what’s important for your neighbourhood, help improve your local spaces, connect with your neighbours and businesses, and speak with police, councillors and community services.”
