Free advice and support available during Help at the Hub event in Tettenhall

Residents looking for some free support and guidance on money, health and safety matters can pop along to an open day in Tettenhall next month, organised by City of Wolverhampton Council.

Help at the Hub will see a wide variety of city organisations offer advice and information. The event will take place on Monday, 6 October, from 11am to 2pm, in the Hopkins Room, St Michael’s Parish Centre, Upper Street, Tettenhall, WV6 8QF. The venue is next door to Tettenhall Library.

The event has been organised by officers at the council’s Public Protection Scams Team who will be handing out free scams awareness and prevention packs.

Residents with concerns can speak with advisors from Alzheimer’s Society, Aquarius, Barclays, Birmingham Dogs Home (Wolverhampton Centre), Camp Hill Village Trust, Cost of Living, Environmental Crime team and the Neighbourhood Safety Co-ordinator.

Representatives from Public Protection, SEND offer, Severn Trent, SUIT, West Midlands Police, Wolverhampton City Credit Union, Wolverhampton College and Wolverhampton Homes will also be available.

People are welcome to drop in and speak to any number of the organisations for free help and assistance.

Councillor Bhupinder Gakhal, City of Wolverhampton Council’s cabinet member for resident services, said: “Once again we are heading out into the community to offer help to local residents who may have concerns and questions.

“Our Help at the Hub event in Tettenhall will see a wide range of organisations offer help and support for anyone who may be wondering where to turn.

“We know that these past few years have been difficult for many residents and worries can build up. Please don’t struggle alone, join us on 6 October for a chat about your concerns.”

Residents do not have to book an appointment but are asked to please be prepared to wait if the event is busy.
