Find out about volunteering at city fair

Adult Education Wolverhampton will be holding a Volunteer Fair next month – giving people the chance to find out about volunteering opportunities in the city.

Open to both students and the general public, it aims to connect residents with a wide variety of charities, non-profit organisations, and community groups looking for support.

Attendees will be able to meet face to face with coordinators, explore diverse volunteering roles, and find causes that align with their personal values and schedules.

Councillor Paula Brookfield, the City of Wolverhampton Council’s Cabinet Member for Jobs, Skills and Opportunities, said: “Thousands of people in Wolverhampton give up their time to volunteer in one way or another.

“Volunteering offers a great way to develop new skills, build confidence, and enhance CVs, so if you have time on your hands, or are thinking of applying for a new job in the near future, why not consider volunteering?”

The Volunteer Fair will take place on Tuesday 13 October, 2026, from 10am to 1pm at Adult Education Wolverhampton’s main campus in the City Learning Quarter, Old Hall Street, Wolverhampton. Admission is free.
