UK Youth Ambassador Zaf gets his 50th National Honour

Oceanic Awards has proudly announced the winners for the 12th edition of the British Muslim Awards 2025.

The British Muslim Awards 2025 is one of the most prestigious events in the British Muslim community, recognizing and celebrating the achievements and contributions of British Muslims in various fields.

By showcasing the achievements of these remarkable individuals and organisations, we hope to inspire future generations and encourage greater diversity and inclusivity across all aspects of society.

The winners are true leaders who have inspired others, pushed boundaries, and achieved remarkable success in their respective fields. We would like to congratulate all winners and highly commended recipients on their accomplishments.”

Man Of The Year Category

The Outstanding Achievement Recognition went to Mohammed (Zaf) Zafran (South and City College, Birmingham), (Founder and Director Community Plaza, (Chair West Midlands Crimestoppers)

Mohammed Zafran BEM has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to the community, particularly in the fields of youth development and crime prevention. Here are some of his notable achievements:

– *Awards and Recognition*: Zafran has won 50 national and international awards for his community work, including the British Empire Medal (BEM), Pride of Birmingham Award, and the Imam wa Amal Special Recognition award for outstanding contribution to Multi Faith and Community.

– *Community Work*: He has engaged with over 45,000 youths across the UK, providing support, mentorship, and educational programs to steer them away from crime and towards positive futures. Zafran’s work has also focused on promoting interfaith dialogue, tackling radicalization, and supporting vulnerable communities.

– *Leadership Roles*: Zafran serves as the UK Global Youth & Community Ambassador, Chair of West Midlands Crimestoppers, and Founder Director of Community Plaza. His leadership roles demonstrate his commitment to empowering young people and building stronger, more cohesive communities.

– *Impact*: Zafran’s work has had a profound impact on the lives of thousands of young people, providing them with opportunities for growth, education, and employment. His efforts have been recognized by authorities, including the West Midlands Police and Birmingham City Council.
