Renault 5 E-Tech electric and Clio secure a trio of wins at the Business Motoring Awards 2025

Renault has secured a trio of impressive wins at the 2025 Business Motoring Awards, including the overall award of ‘Business Car of the Year’ for the Renault 5 E-Tech electric. The emotive electric supermini was also named the ‘Best Small EV’ while the Renault Clio was crowned the winner in the ‘Best Small Car’ category.

Judged by a panel of experts, the Business Motoring Awards recognise excellence in the automotive and fleet sector, specifically for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and company car drivers.

On selecting the Renault 5 E-Tech electric as their overall ‘Business Car of the Year’, as well as the winner in the highly competitive ‘Best Small EV’ category, Andrew Charman, Business Motoring’s Industry and Road Test Correspondent, said: “The new Renault 5 has clear links to its famous predecessor but is also a thoroughly modern and well-built small car. A head, not just heart, purchase.”

The Renault 5 E-Tech electric references the style of the original model yet is also the epitome of modernity, with agile handling and innovative technology that delivers a driving range of up to 252 miles on a single charge. Available from £22,995 OTR in a choice of four trim levels, the Renault 5 E-Tech electric is fun to drive and fun to be around, with its heart-winning design and vibrant range of body colours.

The Renault Clio was also in award-winning form, after drawing praise for its styling, technology and efficiency, making it the winner in the ‘Best Small Car’ category.

As Mark Gibson of Business Motoring, explained: “The Renault Clio impresses with refined styling, advanced tech, and excellent efficiency – delivering big-car quality in a compact, affordable package that continues to set the benchmark in the small car segment.”

Offered with a choice of powertrains, including an innovative full hybrid, the Renault Clio boasts bold styling and a cutting-edge digital experience. The generously-equipped three-version line-up, crowned by the sporty range-topping esprit Alpine trim, starts at only £18,995 OTR.
