Five years later, the Emirates A380 lands in the Danish capital.

Five years later, the Emirates A380, the biggest passenger plane in the world, made its maiden landing in Copenhagen since March 2020. At the moment, the only international airline operating an A380 in Denmark is Emirates. The daily A380 flight is scheduled to arrive in Dubai at 00:10hrs local time, after departing Copenhagen at 14:45hrs. At 8:30hrs local time, the return flight EK151 will take off from Dubai and land in Copenhagen at 12:30hrs. More than 140 destinations are accessible to Danish customers, including well-known vacation areas like Bali, Mauritius, and South Africa.

Emirates’ country manager in Denmark, Morten Balk, stated, “We are incredibly proud to finally bring back the Emirates A380 to Copenhagen, what a sight to see it gracing our runway again! We look forward to once again offering our customers unparalleled travel experiences and the signature products and services our A380 is known for. With more than 43 percent additional seating, more customers will now be able to enjoy greater flexibility and more travel options to over 140 destinations worldwide via our home and hub, Dubai.”

Customers enjoy the Emirates A380 for its spacious and comfy rooms, quietness, and distinctive onboard facilities including an onboard lounge and lavish amenities. Customers aboard the A380 will also enjoy the warm hospitality of the airline’s global crew, which includes Danish natives, regional gourmet cuisine, and the award-winning in-flight entertainment system-ice, which offers up to 6500 channels of the best movies, TV series, podcasts, and more. Recently, the airline increased its entertainment catalogue by teaming with Spotify, the world’s most popular audio streaming subscription service, to provide customers with a diverse selection of podcasts and playlists in the sky.

Emirates A380 flights to Copenhagen will have two-class configuration, with 58 lie-flat seats in business class and 557 spacious seats in economy class.

CCO Peter Krogsgaard of Copenhagen Airport made a statement, “We have been looking forward to welcoming the iconic Emirates double-decker aircraft back to Copenhagen. It’s a fantastic way to start the new year, seeing the world’s largest passenger plane with a total of 615 seats, return to Denmark after a hiatus of nearly five years.”

Emirates, which has won more than 20 major accolades in 2024, recently announced new routes to Bogota via Miami and Madagascar via the Seychelles, as well as the resumption of flights to Phnom Penh in Cambodia, via Singapore.

Emirates is using its iconic A380 to connect with the rest of the world.
