An NHS double decker bus will be coming to Wolverhampton from 6 May, 2026 to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of cancer, and the importance of early detection. Wolverhampton Central Library’s historic façade has been restored to its former glory as part of the council’s City Learning Quarter programme. The scaffolding has now been removed from the Grade II* listed building with the exterior heritage restoration works completed by main contractor Speller Metcalfe alongside specialist heritage contractor, Midland Conservation Ltd. The hearings took place on 13 March 2026 at Birmingham & Solihull Magistrates’ Court. Young carers cooked up a storm at a special workshop held by community chefs at Fifth Avenue Community Centre recently.
