Birmingham Women Unite to Give Exhausted Ladies a Wellbeing Reset

Tammy Takkar, entrepreneur, CEO of Active Clinic and wellbeing expert

A group of Birmingham and Sandwell women came together this week to attend a unique wellbeing evening dedicated to women who spend their lives looking after everyone else while often forgetting to care for themselves.

Hosted by Boujie Mom Entrepreneur and longevity enthusiast alongside Tammy Takkar, entrepreneur, CEO of Active Clinic and wellbeing expert, the event was created for “exhausted ladies” — women juggling family, careers, businesses and everyday responsibilities who rarely take time to pause and recharge.

The evening focused entirely on self-care, encouraging attendees to switch off from the pressures of daily life. Phones were put away, distractions were left at the door, and for a few hours the women stepped away from the constant demands of modern life to reconnect with themselves.

Yoga expert Gosia guided guests through a gentle yoga session designed to release tension, while breathwork specialist Manjinder Kaur led deep breathing exercises followed by a calming sound bath, helping participants relax both physically and mentally.

Tammy Takkar said the event was about reminding women that their wellbeing matters just as much as everyone else’s.

“Women are often the carers, the supporters and the organisers, constantly giving to others while putting themselves last. This evening was simply about giving them permission to pause, breathe and prioritise themselves without guilt.”»

The event created a warm and supportive atmosphere where women could unwind, connect and leave feeling calmer, refreshed and re-energised.

With growing awareness of the importance of mental and physical wellbeing, the organisers hope this will be the first of many events dedicated to helping women slow down, reconnect with themselves and remember that taking care of themselves is not a luxury—it’s a necessity.

Feedback from one of the attendees.

Thank you sooo much for organising and hosting such a beautiful well needed event!

It’s just what I needed after being so busy running my business and household I totally forgot what it feels to reconnect back with myself.

The techniques and teachings used were so educational and I’ve already started to implement them into my daily life.

No matter how busy life gets it’s so important to invest back into yourself because when you feel better mentally it manifests physically and affects everything and everyone around you.

Thank you again for such an amazing event sharing experiences and energy with a group of wonderful ladies.
