A preview of what’s to come in Bloxwich at the Bloxwich Launchpad Expo

Deputy Mayor of Walsall Cllr Louise Harrison with members of the Bloxwich Launchpad

On Wednesday 19 February, Bloxwich Library and Theatre hosted the Bloxwich Launchpad Expo event, where residents were invited to speak to service providers and find out more about what will be on offer when the new centre opens in Spring.

Bloxwich Launchpad, which is currently being constructed on the site of the former Post Office in the centre of Bloxwich, will provide digital skills training and support, as well as business support for entrepreneurs.

Walsall Council is delivering Bloxwich Launchpad as part of the Bloxwich Town Deal and is working with a network of providers who will offer services from the brand-new centre covering digital and IT skills, job search support, technical training such as AI, 3D printing and virtual reality technology, and much more.

“ It was a pleasure to open the Bloxwich Launchpad Expo and to meet all of the providers. There’s such a wide range of services on offer to support local people and the centre will be a huge asset for the people of Bloxwich.

It’s excellent to see the progress being made on site and I’m pleased to see the former Post Office being refurbished and brought back into use for the community. I look forward to the official opening later this year! “
