Health benefits of Henna

Henna or most commonly known as Mehndi, is a herb which has various medicinal benefits which range from headaches to liver disorder and other skin disorders. Henna is most commonly used at occasions so with Eid coming up it is the perfect time to explore its health benefits.

Some of the health benefits henna includes are:

-Cooling Agent: Henna can be applied to burns and scrapes as it acts as an excellent cooling agent. It can also be applied over the body if suffering from high fevers or heat exhaustion.

-Headaches: Henna is seen as an effective remedy against headaches that are caused by heat strokes.

-Liver disorder: The bark of the Henna plant is known to be highly effective in treating the enlargement of the liver as well as jaundice.

-Baldness: henna leaves boiled with mustard oil promotes healthy hair growth. Henna contains natural ingredients which are important for nourishment of hair and it also penetrates, cleanses and thickens the hair shafts thus improving hair quality. It also has great ability to fight dandruff.

-Feet Burning Sensation: Henna leaves mixed with vinegar or lime juice bandaged onto the soles of burning feet provides relief.

-Skin Disease: Boils, burns, inflammatory swelling, bruises and leprosy are all effectively treated by Henna leaves. It also effectively treats various types of rashes, athletes food and acts as a sun-block.

-Nails: Henna is also known for effectively treating cracking nails.
