Action-packed eBay Stage brings the fun to Silverstone Festival

EBay is marking its inaugural appearance at this year’s Silverstone Festival with The eBay Stage, taking place at the legendary British circuit from 23rd – 25th August.

Those with a particular love of 1970s Minis will be able to see TV’s Wheeler Dealers’ very own Mike Brewer and Marc ‘F1 Elvis’ Priestley, who will be putting the spotlight on a 1972 Morris Mini live on The eBay Stage, together with many other stunning classics, over the weekend.

As well as an enthralling schedule on The eBay Stage, festivalgoers have the opportunity to see flat-out historic racing at its best with Touring, Sports GT and Formula 1 cars from past eras.

Laura Richards, Category Lead for eBay Parts and Accessories, said: “We are very excited to make our debut at Silverstone Festival. As an iconic location in British motorsport, the track has played home to many incredible events, and we’re proud to play our part this year. The Festival offers a wide range of things to do for more than just petrolheads, including unmissable music and famous figures from the automotive world.”

Alongside the eBay stage, there will also be the eBay Garage situated opposite the Village Green, which will host talks with celebrities including Ant Anstead and Jodie Kidd. The eBay Garage is an interactive space, where attendees can immerse themselves in the world of vehicle parts and accessories. The activation will include a selection of experiences such as Order Point, where visitors can check out the variety of parts that would fit their vehicle.

The fun at the festival extends beyond the track, with a Fan Zone that will allow fans the chance to get up close and personal with some of the latest car tech from the world of modern Formula 1. Another high point will be the music on offer, with the likes of Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Busted and Olly Murs all taking to The eBay Stage.

Away from the car-related action and entertainment, there will also be a “Foodie Fest” giving people the chance to try local produce, including from Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm Shop which is popping-up at the event. There’s also live demos from celebrated chefs and food writers on the Silverstone Kitchen Live stage, and more.

eBay is a leading online marketplace for motorists, with tens of millions of parts and accessories available in the UK, from the essentials – such as tyres and oil – right up to specialist and high-performance parts.
